The 20 Israeli appeals ignored by the U.N. this year

On at least 20 separate occasions this year, the Israeli government appealed to the UN to take action against Palestinian rocket attacks on Israeli civilians, in letters sent to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the President of the Security Council.

In these letters, Israel urged the United Nations to act against repeated rockets attacks from Gaza against Israeli civilians, and,  at a minimum, to speak out and condemn the  attacks.

“Inaction today could help ignite an escalation of conflict tomorrow,” Israel warned the UN, while exercising astonishing measures of restraint that no other country facing a similar onslaught of rockets has ever shown.

Yet we are unaware of any UN action whatsoever taken in response.

Below are the 2012 letters. Moreover, here is another massive list of Israeli letters completely ignored by the UN from 2000 to 2008.

Ignored Israeli Appeals for U.N. Action to Stop Palestinian Terrorist Attacks (2012)

  • With respect to IDF (The Israel Defense Forces) actions.

This is simply too good. Too good to believe that this is true.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have taken extraordinary precautions to ensure that civilians and innocent people on the enemy side are not injured and killed as a result of armed conflict. This is something that no army in the world has ever done in the history of military conflict between men in the world. Israelis have been exceptionally sincere and honest in protecting Human Rights in the face of a conflict of extraordinary magnitude that all the countries of the world watch.

The IDF’s exemplary actions have demonstrated that, in the true sense, there really is no ‘enemy’ and that it is only a wrong perception of the human mind which has led to disastrous consequences in human society – very unfortunate and what a pity – something that should never have happened.

Anyway, all the best to Israel. The world ought to learn from this. IDF’s way of working is a demonstration of true courage and valor coupled with exceptional intelligence as essential ingredients in the way they work.

If the world chooses to learn from IDF’s way of working, the world will definitely become a much better place to live than it is today. We clap with two hands. Israel takes the initiative to give one, it is the duty of the world to give the second. And because this second hand has not been forthcoming, Israel for purpose of self-defense and survival, in their region where they live, has had to resort to retaliatory measures (an unfortunate consequence emerging from the characteristics of the conflict), which is the decadent venomous Islamic manner of working. The spiral of violence is like a python that finishes and consumes its prey – reason and justice.

If this is done then reason and justice will become the fundamental premise on which human society world will function, which is lacking in the current world.

If reason and justice prevail finally, then this will be in the best interest of the world and the planet earth.

    Kudos to Israel.

  • There seem to be complete silence for the pro-Terrorist supporters that pander to Palestine, who is an incessant aggressor against a people they simply refuse to allow to live in peace.

  • Because of what’s happening, the world is supporting Israel more and more. God bless Israel..

  • Where are the detailed public statements attacking the UN for its derelection of duty by Israeli ministers, far more likely to have these taken up by the mainstream media than relatively low level diplomats?

Israel’s diplomatic “dhimmitude” betrays not only active members of the IDF but all its citizens.

  • I saw a beautifull and also tragic documenatry, allready some years old: Cinema Jenin. this documentary shows that the Palestinians among each other dont trust each other, are afraid to be possitive about a possible peace with Israel and easily kill each other for having a different opinion. In Gaza this film could never have been made as Hamas do not allow any other way then their way. As long as the people dont stand up against the terror groups the conflict continous and their lives are wasted.
