The ongoing condemnations relating to “infringement of human rights”, “occupied territories including east Jerusalem”, “right of return” are a REPETITION of essentially the same subjects and are clearly a device to keep Israel/Palestine in centre stage. And let’s not be mislead in believing that the UN is a democratic body – it is a body of vested interests like any parliament and the dominant element holds sway.

All the resolutions mentioned are fair and warranted – Israel should never have been approved as a nation. That is the real mistake that the UN can be blamed for. But of course the Syrian crisis is of a more acute nature.

The UN is completely corrupt, a total waste of money, and should either be wound up, or relocated out of New York to somewhere like Siberia. Its agenda is controlled by the Islamic bloc, and it has become an expensive joke outfit which specializes in lies.

In any event, the democratic nations should withdraw from this discredited organization, and set up their own union, which would stand for truth and justice.

The inmates are in charge of the asylum. How is it that these rogue nations are in charge of the u.N. Human Rights? It is so ludicrous to think that the U.S. permits this outrage on our soil and we help pay for it!!! I say uninvite these nations until they can make some serious minded resolutions. Expel them from our country if possible.
The sad part is that they are gaining more and more power all over the world. Let’s pull the rug from under them!!!!

It is useless ‘preaching to the choir’; WE know all of this. The point is to make the rest of the world acknowledge it. SO – with all of the Yiddische kopfs that we have, all of the Nobel Prizes and other awards – why are we so incredibly bad at public relations?
The issue should be how to turn public around in our favor…anyone??

Too bad the U.N. didn’t ask the Arabs living in the Golan Heights if they’d like to come under Syrian rule tomorrow. I imagine the results would’ve been about 95% “no.” In fact, I bet the majority of Arabs in east Jerusalem would prefer Israeli governance over Fatah. An interesting social experiment would be to place a resolution before the General Assembly, describing and condemning human rights violations being committed by a country other than Israel, only disguising it so it says “Israel.” After it passes by the usual maljority [sic], re-introduce the same resolution, this time correctly identifying the offending country. The second time, it would receive 5% of the same votes.

As humans we need to learn from history as is being classicly illustrated at the U.N. The league of nations which was borne as a result of WW1 led, I believe, in large part to the start of WW2. The time of the U.N., born as a result of WW2, has come and gone. If we are to prevent the same issues arising again I propose a radical overhaul of the UN or disbandment in line with future demands

In a world thwart by violence and terror, it might seem that the main purpose of the UN is to sponsor the Israel Arab conflict. Why should we justify their actions with this discussion? Just as a ruler is only a ruler if he has subjects, so the UN is only an influential body if we invest it with power. Let us turn our backs and ignore it.
